Frequently Asked Questions

What are the Firm’s business hours?

Our business hours are indicated on our Google Business page. This is where you will find the most current information about our pricing and business hours, including for holidays and weekends. Let us know if you need an after hours appointment, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Where is the Firm located?

We have a virtual office at 43 West 43rd Street, Suite 314, New York, New York 10036. This is also our mailing address. We operate remotely a substantial portion of each month. Most of our meetings occur by telephone or video conference, but we can arrange an in-person meeting at our office, if necessary.

Pricing

Understanding your need to budget for your legal expenses, we offer flat fee options for some services and will do our best to estimate our fees for hourly services. For example:

  • Continuing Education and Training (from $300.00) – Existing courses are $300.00 for 50 to 60 minutes. During your 15-minute assessment call, we will discuss additional fees for course development.
  • Workplace Dispute Resolution (from $800.00) – Half-day mediations are $800.00 for up to four hours. Full-day mediations are $1,500.00 for up to 8 hours.
  • Neutral Evaluation ($500.00 flat fee) – A $500.00 flat fee secures your path to a humane, affordable, and quick (HAQ) resolution of a dispute between two parties. Only $300.00 for each additional party.
  • Employment Law Consultation ($500.00 flat fee) – You will receive a one-hour call, written summary, and an action plan to help you take the next steps.
  • NYS WCB Penalty Resolution (from $600.00) – Price is based on one worker; expect $300.00 for each additional worker.
  • Workplace Investigations (from $1,500.00) – This is based on our $300.00 hourly rate and five hours of work. We will discuss the estimated fees during your assessment call.
  • FINRA Arbitration (from $300.00) – Also based on our hourly rate, our fees are added to those from the other panel arbitrators, paid to FINRA, and redistributed among the panel arbitrators for your case.

Communications Policies

Can I contact the Firm through social media?

No. We maintain social media accounts to keep clients, colleagues, and the community apprised of our work. Social media messaging is not a secure method of corresponding and may compromise the attorney-client privilege. That means an opposing party has easier access to the information. Please do not contact us on social media. Instead, schedule a 15-minute assessment call.

Why shouldn’t employees use a work device to send email to the Firm?

There is no expectation of privacy when using an employer’s device. As such, it is possible the information you transmit could be read by your employer or subpoenaed by an opposing party.

Is it okay to talk about my case in a private online group?

Absolutely not. “Private” groups are not what they seem. Any information that you share can be screen-captured, taken out of context, and used against you (e.g., photos about personal issues, vacation, family, dating, exercise, job searches). You also risk jeopardizing attorney-client privilege when you discuss the case strategy or share what an attorney advised.

Reviews

I found the Firm through online reviews. How can I leave one of my own?

You can leave reviews on our Google Business page or Nance’s LinkedIn profile. If you’re happy with our services, please don’t keep us a secret! That’s how we find great clients like you. If you are dissatisfied in any way with your Third Ear experience, please contact us first and give us a chance to resolve the issue.
